Apr 19, 2011   //   by steve   //   General  //  1 Comment

The 12th Pagoda Shoot took place on Sunday 17th April, and was hailed as a a success on all fronts. Over 200 archers took part, shooting either an Albion or a Windsor round.  A good number of club members turned out to assist in the smooth running of the event – which was noted and appreciated by the competitors. the weather was kind too, with light winds and plenty of sunshine.

The shoot was covered by Winkball, who shot several video interviews with archers and club representatives. These are now available to view here:

Season Opener

Apr 13, 2011   //   by steve   //   General  //  No Comments

We managed a good turnout for the seasonal opener on Sunday. Great weather helped make the day an enjoyable one, but there were more than a few people complaining about aching muscles by the time we packed the targets away.

Despite it being the first shoot of the outdoor season we had Junior Bowman scores recorded by Asija and Jesse Zeidaks and by Matt Savage, and club records broken by Alistair Adie (Short National -Traditional Bow), Tim Eavis (Short Western – Gents Recurve), Asija Zeidaks (Western – Ladies U13 Recurve), Jesse Zeidaks (Western – Gents U16 Recurve) and Suzy Warner-Nicholas (Ladies U18 Recurve – Western). Well done to all of you.
